The real meaning behind the Ninja Turtles.....

Recently I was watching TMNT. It is a very entertaining movie for those of us who grew up with the turtles and are still big fans. But the movie made me notice the subliminal political message behind the turtles. Why is Raphael Red? Is he a republican? And Leonardo, does the blue mean that he is a democrat?
The U.S. Military Dictionary defines the Republican Party as One of the two main U.S. political parties (the other being the Democratic party), favoring a right-wing stance, limited central government, and tough, interventionist foreign policy. I think with this definition it is safe to say that Raphael is a Republican. He does not want to be governed by laws and especially not by Leonardo. So a central government would be limited if he had the choice. And his crime fighting is much like a republican foreign policy. He is tough and wants the bad guys to get what is coming to them for the things that they have done. In the movie he gets in a fight in a diner kitchen and destroys the place. Maybe that kitchen symbolizes the middle east under our republican leader? We will get the bad guy no matter what else we destroy.
Leonardo is a little bit more conservative. I believe the right phrase for him is a "pussy douchbag". He is always by the book and wants to do what is best for the everybody. He wants to stay out of the fight if he doesn't have to get involved. He would probably be better for the economy also. But thats just because democrats, like Bill Clinton, do good things for the economy. And I'm sure he would be all for minority rights because he is a minority. I mean there are only four of his kind.
Michelangelo and Donatello are not really party leaders. They are cabinet members or something like that. Donatello could be the secretary of technology and Michelangelo could be......well let's face it, he would be the court jester.
So if in the next election you do not know which side to vote for, just think of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you like what Leo can do, vote Democrat. If you think Raphael would be a better leader, vote Republican.
